摘要
Thispaperpresentstheexperimentalresultsonthedistributionofsedimentsatchannelbifurcation.Theexperimentshavebeenconductedinaphysicalmodelofchannelbifurcation.Itconsistsofastraightmainchannelwhichbifurcatesintotwobranchchannelsofdifferentwidths.Thetestrigisamobilebedwithfixedbank.Fourdifferentnoseshavebeenusedtostudythephenomenon.Foreachnose,threeupstreamdischargesviz.20l/s,30l/sand40l/shavebeenemployed.Fromthemeasureddata,dischargesandsedimenttransportratiosperunitwidtharecalculatedinthedownstreambranches.Thesedatahavebeensettothegeneralnodalpointrelationandasetofequationshasbeendevelopedtodescribethedistributionofsedimentstothedownstreambranchesfordifferentnoseangles.
