Estimation of damping ratio of soil sites using microtremor-中国期刊网

摘要 Itiswidelyknownthattheseismicresponsecharacteristicsofasoilsitedependsheavilyonseveralkeydynamicpropertiesofthesoilstratum,suchaspredominantfrequencyanddampingratio.Awidelyusedmethodforestimatingthepredominantfrequencyofasoilsitebyusingmicrotremorrecords,proposedbyNakamura,isinvestigatedtodetermineitseffectivenessinestimatingthedampingratio.TheauthorsconductedsomemicrotremormeasurementsofsoilsitesinHongKongandfoundthatNakamura'smethodmightalsobeusedtoestimatethedampingratioofasoilsite.DampingratiodatafromseveraltypicalsoilsiteswereobtainedfrombothNakamura'sratiocurvesusingthehalfpowerpointmethodandresonantcolumntests.Regressionanalysisindicatesthatthereisastrongcorrelationbetweenthedampingratiosderivedfromthesetwodifferentapproaches.
