摘要 Backgroundknowledgeisimportantfordatamining,especiallyincomplicatedsituation.Ontologicalengineeringisthesuccessorofknowledgeengineering.Thesharableknowledgebasesbuiltonontologycanbeusedtoprovidebackgroundknowledgetodirecttheprocessofdatamining.ThispapergivesacommonintroductiontothemethodandpresentsapracticalanalysisexampleusingSVM(supportvectormachine)astheclassifier.GeneOntologyandtheaccompanyingannotationscomposeabigknowledgebase,onwhichmanyresearcheshavebeencarriedout.MicroarraydatasetistheoutputofDNAchip.WiththehelpofGeneOntologywepresentamoreelaborateanalysisonmicroarraydatathanformerresearchers.Themethodcanalsobeusedinotherfieldswithsimilarscenario.
