Predicting the Coupling Specificity of G-protein Coupled Receptors to G-proteins by Support Vector Machines

摘要 G-proteincoupledreceptors(GPCRs)representoneofthemostimportantclassesofdrugtargetsforpharmaceuticalindustryandplayimportantrolesincellularsignaltransduction.PredictingthecouplingspecificityofGPCRstoG-proteinsisvitalforfurtherunderstandingthemechanismofsignaltransductionandthefunctionofthereceptorswithinacell,whichcanprovidenewcluesforpharmaceuticalresearchanddevelopment.Inthisstudy,thefeaturesofaminoacidcompositionsandphysiochemicalpropertiesofthefull-lengthGPCRsequenceshavebeenanalyzedandextracted.Basedonthesefeatures,classifiershavebeendevelopedtopredictthecouplingspecificityofGPCRstoG-proteinsusingsupportvectormachines.Thetestingresultsshowthatthismethodcouldobtainbetterpredictionaccuracy.
