DLM/FD SIMULATION OF CHANNEL FLOW WITH FENE POLYMER CHAIN SUSPENSION

摘要 DistributedLagrangeMultiplier/FictitiousDomain(DLM/FD)methodwasemployedtosimulatethechannelflowwithpolymersuspension.ThepolymermoleculesweremodeledasFinitelyExtensibleNonlinearElastic(FENE)chainsandFENEchaincluster.Thecoiled-stretchedtransitionofFENEchainswasexaminedandthechangeinconfigurationofFENEchainswaspresented.Theaveragevelocityprofileofthefullydevelopedchannelflowwith64FENEchainswasgivenandfittedwellwiththepower-lawcurve.Thechangeofchainclusterconfigurationwasalsosimulated.ThesesimulationsshowthatDLM/FDmethodiscapableofsimulatingthemotionofnotonlyFENEchain,butalsoFENEchaincluster.
