摘要
InthispaperweproposeX-MAQoS,anovelXML-basedmulti-agentsystemfortheQoSmanagementintelecommunicationsnetworks.Thissystemischaracterizedbythefollowingfeatures:(i)ithandlesauserprofileandexploitsitjointlywithsuitablenetworkresourcemanagementtechniquestomaximizeusersatisfaction;(ii)itiscapableofoperatinginalargevarietyoftelecommunicationsnetworks;(iii)itissemi-automatic;(iv)itexploitsXMLforguaranteeingalight,versatileandstandardmechanismforinformationrepresentation,storingandexchange.Inthispaperthebasicfeaturesofthesystemarediscussedindetails.Furthermore,themainresultsofaperformanceevaluationstudyinUMTSenvironment,aimingatcomparingX-MAQoSwithalternativeagent-basedapproachesforhandlinguseraccesstotelecommunicationsnetworks,arereported.
