摘要
Asaresultofsortingout,estimatingandcatalogingofhistoricalearthquakes,fromtheyearof2A.D.toAug.,1949,wefoundthattherewere2187earthquakeswithM≥3.0intheareaoftheYellowSeaanditsadjacentarea.Amongtheearthquakes,thenumberofearthquakeswithM≥5.0is209,andatleast43oftheearthquakescausedseriouslosses,20oftheearthquakescausedhumancausalities.Itisdemonstratedthattherewere3areasofhistoricalearthquakeconcentrationandtheearthquakeactivitywashigherinthe16thcenturyandthefirsthalfifthe20thcentury.
