NineNeolithicsitesbefore8000yearsBP.havebeenfoundsincelate1980'sinthenorthernmarginoftheLuzhongnan(themiddleandsouth)mountains.Housefoundations,tombs,ashpitsandkilnshavebeenunearthedwithlargeamountofpottery,stone,boneandshellartifactsandthusprovidedvaluablematerialsforthestudiesoftheoriginoftheNeolithiccultureinthelowerYellowRivervalley.
