Peacecanbeunderstoodasapactfortheperfectionofinstitutionsandthroughthemthepositivationofrights.Intoday’sworld,internationalwarsandconflictsaremarkedbytheculturalidentitiestowhichtheyrelate,bringingtotheforehistoricalsocialandhumanitarianinjustices.Inthissense,itispossibletorethinkpeacestudiesviathecommunitarianperspective.Suchaperspectivepointstosocialrecognitionfortheappealtohumandiversity,valuesbeingconstructedaccordingtoeachsocietyorsocialgroupandnotaprioriwithliberalpresuppositions.Inasocietywhererightsexistforonegroupandnotforanother,theidentityoftheunrecognizedgroupoccursthroughdenialofrights.Inadditiontodiscrimination,non-realizationofrightsequallyforallcauseslow-esteemandinhumanityobscuringsocialinteractionthathindersrecognition.Inthiscontext,thisarticledefendswhatisexpectedasminorityrecognitionisthepossibilityofself-affirmationasagroupthroughtherealparticipationofminoritymembersinthemajoritygroupofequitableformsfortheestablishmentofparticipatorygovernanceofcivilsocietyintheeffectivenessofpeace.
