摘要 Acutecoronarysyndrome(ACS)isthemaincauseofdeathworldwideandtheleadingcauseofdiseaseburdeninhigh-incomecountries.ACSreferstoaconstellationofclinicalsymptomsthatarecompatiblewithacutemyocardialischemia.Itdescribesaspectrumofclinicalmanifestationsthatresultfromacommonpathophysiologicalprocess.ThemostcommoncauseofACSareruptureofanatheroscleroticlesioncontainingalargenecroticcoreandathinfibrouscapfollowedbyacuteluminalthrombosis.Itwasthoughtthatahigh-resolutionimagingmodalitywouldbeidealtodetecthigh-riskplaquesbeforetheirdisruptionandtheformationofanocclusivethrombus.Opticalcoherencetomographyhasproventobeaninvaluabletoolinearlydetectionofhigh-riskplaquesandparticularlyintheunderstandingofACS.ThisreviewfocusesonthecurrentevidencefortheroleofopticalcoherencetomographyinthediagnosisandtreatmentofpatientswithACS.
