摘要 Salttoleranceisanimportantconstrainforrice,whichisgenerallycategorizedasatypicalglycophyte.Soilsalinityisoneofthemajorconstraintsaffectingriceproductionworldwide,especiallyinthecoastalareas.Susceptibilityortoleranceofriceplantstohighsalinityisacoordinatedactionofmultiplestressresponsivegenes,whichalsointeractswithothercomponentsofstresssignaltransductionpathways.Salttolerantvarietiescanbeproducedbymarker-assistedselectionorgeneticengineeringbyintroducingsalt-tolerancegenes.Inthisreview,wehaveupdatedonmechanismsandgeneswhichcanhelpintransferringofthesalttoleranceintohigh-yieldingricevarieties.Wehavefocusedontheneedforintegratingphenotyping,genomics,metabolicprofilingandphenomicsintotransgenicandbreedingapproachestodevelophigh-yieldingaswellassalttolerantricevarieties.
