Raman Spectroscopy of Garnet—group Minerals-中国期刊网

摘要 TheRamanspectraofthenaturalendmembersofthegarnet-groupminerals,whichincludepyrope,almandineandspessariteofFe-Algarnetseriesandgrossularite,andraditeanduvaroviteofCa-Fegarnetseries,havebeenstrdied.MeasuredRamanspectraofthesemineralsarereasonablyandqualitativelyassignedtotheinternalmodes,translationalandrotatorymodesofSiO4tetrahedra,aswellasthetranslationalmotionofbivalentcationsintheXsite.ThestretchandrotatoryA1gmodesfortheFe-AlgarnetseriesshowobviousRamanshiftsascomparedwiththosefortheCa-Fegarnetseries,owingtothecationsresidingintheXsiteconnectedwithSiO4tetrahedrabysharingthetwoedges.TheRamanshiftsofallmemberswithineitheroftheseriesareattributedmainlytothepropertiesofcationsintheXsitefortheFe-AlgarnetseriesandintheYsitefortheCa-Fegarnetseries.
