摘要
ThispaperusesthegravitymodeltoexaminetheeffectofenvironmentalregulationsonporktradeflowsbetweendifferentregionswithinChina.Weapplyalinearprogrammingtooltoestimateporktradeflowsfrom2000to2008,anddiscusstheenvironmentalactsonlivestockpollutionandincomeleveltoproxyenvironmentalregulations.WeuseOLSregressionandpaneldatawithdummyvariableinthecross-sectionalGLSestimation.Ourresultsindicatethatthegapofenvironmentalregulationsbetweentradepartnershasapositiverelationshipwithporktradeflows,andthedifferenceinenvironmentalregulationschangesthetraditionalcomparativeadvantagepatterntosomeextent.ThispaperprovidesconvincingevidenceforthepollutionhaveneffectonlivestockinChina.
