摘要
Thispaperisthefirstrecordedeconomicvalueoflivingfossil,anevaluationofthebasiceconomicvalueofLingula,basedonthedirectutilizationofhouseholdsforfoodandsale.Twenty-onelocalfishermenwhocollectedLingulainTratProvincewerefocusedonbyusinginterviewquestionnaires.Theanimalhabitatsareinfluencedbytheencroachers’age,genderandharvestmethod.Thetotaleconomicvaluein2011wasaroundtwomillionbaht.ThosewhopossessfishinggearandhavemoremoneycanhavegreateraccesstotheproductThelocalcommunitiesinNongKhunsongsub-districtaresuccessfulincollectingtheLingulaandindoinglocalbusiness.Themarketchannelanalysisisconductedatlocal,provincialandnationallevelsandshortmarketchainsaredemonstratedintheformofawholesalemarketintheLingulatrade.Thisrepresentssignificantconsumptionbythelocalcommunities.Thestudyfurtherrecommendssustainableconservationandmanagementeffortsatalocalscale.
