CLIMATE EFFECT OF THE LAST LARGE ERUPTION OF TIANCHI VOLCANO-中国期刊网

摘要 Volcaniceruptionisanimportantexternalforcingfactorofclimatechangeontimescalefrommonthtohundredyears.Inthispaper,theclimaticeffectofthelastlargehistoricaleruptionofTianchivolcano,whichhappenedin1229AD,hasbeeninvestigatedwithatwo-dimensionalenergybalancemodel.TakingMt.PinatubovolcanoandChangbaiMountain-Tianchivolcanoforexample,thenumericalsimulationontimescalefrommonthstoyearsindicatesthatsuchlargeeruptionsmayhavesignificantimpactsonglobalclimate.Basedonthesimulationresults,itissuggestedthatthelastlargeeruptionofTianchivolcanoshouldberesponsiblefortheabruptclimatechangeevent,whichbeganintheperiodfrom1230to1260AD.
