摘要
Usingregionaldatafrom1990to2010inChina,thepaperexaminestrends,determinants,regionaldisparitiesandspatialeffectsofpopulationandeconomicdistributionconsistency.Resultsshowthatpopulationdensityismuchsmallerthaneconomicdensityatnationallevelandintheeastregions,Whilepopulationdensityislargerthaneconomicdensityinmiddleandwestregionsofthecountry.Spatialdependenceandspatialconcentrationexistinthepopulation-economicdistributioninconsistencyinChina.Materialcapital,humancapital,infrastructureconstructionandpoliciesarethemaininfluencingfactorswheneconomiclevelandstructurearecontrolled.Thereareprominentdifferencesintheabovefactorsindeterminingregionalpopulation-economicspatialdistributioninconsistency.Further,neglectingspatialeffectofpopulation-economicdistributioninconsistencycouldresultinunderestimationofmarketmechanismandoverestimationoftheroleofthegovernment.
