摘要 Basedonresearchesmadebytheauthorinrecentyears,discussionismadeofthequasi-40-dayoscillation(QDO)natureanditscharacteristicpropagation,withemphasisontheSouthernHemispheremill-latitudequasi-periodiccoldairforcingonthetropicalatmospherequasi-40-dayoscillationalongwithitseffectupontheNorthernHemispheresummermonsoon.Itisproposedthattheinteractionbetween,orlateralcouplingof,meridionalcirculationsystemsmayserveasthemechanismoftheoscillationpropagationinameridionaldirection.
