摘要
-Theturbulencemechanismplaysanimportantpartinthemixingprocessandmomentumtransferofturbulence.Athree-dimensionalPrandtlmixinglengthtidalmodelhasbeendevelopedtosimulatetidalflowsandwaterquality.TheeddyviscositiesanddiffusivitiesarecomputedfromthePrandtlmixinglengthmodel.Inordertomodelthewaterqualityofanestuaryorcoastalareamanyinterdependentprocessesneedtobesimulated.Thesemaybeconvenientlyseparatedintothreemaingroups:transportandmixingprocesses,biochemicalinteractionofwaterqualityvariablesandtheutilizationandre-cyclingofnutrientsbylivingmatter.Themodelsimulatesfulloxygenandnutrientbalance,primaryproductivityandthetransport,reactionmechanismandfateofpollutantsovertidaltime-scales.ThemodelisappliedtonumericalsimulationoftidalflowsandwaterqualityinDalianBay.Themodelhasbeencalibratedagainstalimiteddatasetofhistoricalwaterqualityobservationsandingeneraldemonstra
