摘要
Thepartiallyfilledpipeflowsencounteredindrainagesystemsbelongtoafamilyofunsteadyflowproblemscapableofnumericalsolutionviathemethodofcharacteristics.Thedefiningequationsintermsofflowdepth,velocityandsurfacewavespeedaredevelopedandnumericallysolvedbycharacteristic-differencemethodwithtime-lineinterpolationscheme.Boundaryconditionsforinflow,outflow,movinghydraulicjumpandjunctionsaredevelopedbothexperimentallyandnumerically.Fullscalemodelexperimentswerecarriedoutanditwasconsequentlyclarifiedthatnumericalmodeliscapableofpredictingflowcharacteristicsinrealisticdrainagenetworks.
