摘要 Atwodimensionalplane-stressfinite-elementtypeofanalysisispre-sentedtopredictthebehaviourofgeogridsembeddedinsandunderpulloutloadingconditions.Intheanalysistheinteractionsbetweensoilandgeogridaresimulatedbynon-linearsprings.Thestiffnessesofthespringscanbedeterminedfromsimpletestsinaspeciallydesignedpulloutbox.Theproposedfiniteelement(FE)analysisisappliedtointerprettestresultsfromalargescalepullouttestrig.Thepredictedbe-haviourofthegeogridunderpulloutloadagreeswellwiththeobserveddataincludingtheload-displacementproperties,thedisplacementdistributionalongthelongitudinaldirectionandthemobilisationofthefrictionalandbearingresistance.
