摘要
ThefaultzonealongthenorthernmarginofWestQinlingRangeisamajoractivefaultzoneinthekeyseismicmonitoringareainthesoutheasternpartofGansuProvince.Inordertostudythecurrentactivitycharacteristicsofthisfault,GPSmonitoringnetworkhasbeenarrangedalongbothsidesofthefaultand3measurementshavebeenmadefrom1996to1998.Theresultindicatesthatobviousdifferentialmovementexistsalongthenorthandsouthsidesofthefaultandtheeastwardmovementonthesouthsideis3.8mm/alargerthanthatonthenorthside.IntheGPSnetwork,theshortenedsideisgenerallyinthetrendofEWandtheextendedsideisbasicallyNWtoSE.TheprincipalcompressionalstresstrendinthisareaisaboutEWandthesinistralmotionisobviousintheeasternpartofthefault(nearWushan).Themeasuredresultsalsoindicatethatthedisplacementratehasdecreasedby50%andthecompressionalstrainhasincreasedby100%ascomparedthedataof1997~1998withthoseof1996~1997,whichshowst
