AnFEanalysisprocedurewaspresentedtopredictthebehaviorofsoilogeogridinterctionunderautomobileloading.Thedynamicinteractionsbetweenthetransversebars,thelongitudinalribsandthesoilweresimulatedbyasystemconsistingofnonlinearsprings,dashpotsandmasses,tostudythedeformationpropertiesofthereinforcedsoil.Theequivalentstiffnessanddampingratioscouldbedeterminedwiththeshakingtable.Thedynamicresponsesofareinforcedsubgradewereanalyzedwiththe3Dfiniteelementapproach.Thisapproachisprogrammedandappliedtoanalyzethesoilogeogridinteractionunderdynamicloading.Thecomparativeanalysisoftheresponseofthereinforcedsubgradeandthatofthesubgradewithoutreinforcementshowsthatthegeogridplacedatthebottomofthebaselayermayeffectivelyreducetheaccumulativeplasticdeformationduetothecyclicautomobileloading.
