Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)rubberlatexwithtwosortsofsensitizers,trimethylolpropanetri-methacrylate(TMPTMA)anddiethyleneglycoldi-acrylate(DEGDA),wasirradiatedwithγ-raysandelectronbeamsinvariousconditions.TheradiationcrosslinkingreactionofPDMSoccursintheinnerphaseofthelatexandisrelativelyisolatedfromthewaterphase.Thereforetheoxygenandtheradicalsproducedbytheradiolysisreactionofwateralmosthavenoeffectonthecrosslinkingreactionofpolymer.TheexperimentaldatacorrespondwiththeCharlesby-Pinnerrelationshipinthemain.Thegelationdoses,degreeofcrosslinkinganddegradationaswellasGvaluesofcrosslinkingwerecalculated.Fromthem,thesensitizationcoefficientswerederivedtoofferaquantitativemeasurementoftheenhancingeffectofsensitizerontheradiationcrosslinking.
