Wateristhemostactivecomponentinallgeologicalsystems.Ithasanimportanteffectonthephysicalpropertiesofmineralsandmelts.ItalsoplaysakeyroleintheevolutionoftheEarth.Accuratethermodynamicsdataonwaterarecurrentlyconfinedtopressuresbelow1.0GPaandtemperaturesbelow900℃.PresentedinthispaperarenewdataavailableontheP-Tpropertiesofwateratpressuresupto5.0GPa,develogedfromdifferentialthermalanalysisandultrasonicwaveamplitudeanalysis.Ithasbeenfoundthattheremayexistanotherternarypointat3.0GPaandthatultrasonicwaveamplitudechangeofice-watertransitionshowstwoinflectionpointsabove2.0GPa,consistentwiththetwopeaksofdifferentialthermalcurvesabove2.0GPa.Itmaybeanewphenomenonwhichneedsfurtherstudy.
