Extendedx-ray-absorptionfine-structuremeasurements(EXAFS)wereperformedonnanocrystalline(nc)elementalSesampleswithgrainsizesrangingfrom13to60nm.Accompaniedwiththepreviousstudy,weconcludedthat,withtherefinementinnc.Se.theintrachainstructure(thebondlength,thecoordinationnumber)isunchangedwhiletheinterchainspacingisenlarged.ThegrainboundaryinthencSeisfoundtobeinalow-energyconfigurationthatisdifferentfromthedisorderedgaslikegrainboundarystructure.
