摘要 Theanodicdischargeofwatertoproduceadsorbedhydroxylfreeradicals(*OH)isconsideredtobeaprerequisitetoanodicO-transferreactionsataPbO2electrode.Inthiswork,amethodwasstudiedbymeansofhigh-performanceliquidchromatography(HPLC)combinedwithelectrochemicaldetection(ED)soastoinvestigatetheproductionofhydroxylfreeradicals(*OH)intheprocessoftheanodicdischargeofH2OataPbO2electrode.ThevoltammetricdataobtainedatthePbO2electrodefortheoxidationofsalicylicacidtosalicylatehydroxylationproducts(DHBAs)andthedetectionofDHBAsbymeansofHPLC-EDconfirmtheproposedmechanism.
