摘要 ThesedimentationsoftwocylindricalparticlesinthreedifferentinitialrelativepositionsarenumericallysimulatedusingthelatticeBoltzmannmethod.Themovementcharacteristicsandparticleinteractionsduringtheirsedimentationarepresentedanddiscussedindetail.Theresultsshowthat,(i)ifthetwoparticlesarereleasedparallelbutseparatedhorizontally,theypushawayeachother,rotateinwardsandseparatehorizontallyastheyfall;(ii)ifthetwoparticlesarereleasedparallelbutseparatedvertically,thesedimentationbehaviorcanbeclassifiedintothreestages:trailing,tumblingandseparating;(iii)ifthetwoparticlesarereleasedperpendicularbutseparatedvertically,thesedimentationbehaviorcanbecharacterizedas:trailingandrotating,touchingandsliding.Inordertovalidateoursimulation,experimentswerealsoconductedandtheresultsagreewellwiththenumericalones.
