摘要 Anexperimentofadaptivepolarizationmodedispersion(PMD)compensationfor40-Gb/sreturn-to-zero(RZ)opticalcommunicationsystemisreported.Intheexperiment,degreeofpolarization(DOP)isusedasfeedbacksignalandparticleswarmoptimization(PSO)methodisadoptedaslogiccontrolalgorithm.Thecompensationtimeisabout200ms,thecompensateddifferentialgroupdelay(DGD)isupto30ps,andbiterrorrate(BER)of10^-9isreachedwhenPMDcompensationisemployed.
