Gain-scheduling control of a floating offshore wind turbine above rated wind speed

摘要 Thispaperpresentsanapplicationofgain-scheduling(GS)controltechniquestoafloatingoffshorewindturbineonabargeplatformforaboveratedwindspeedcases.Specialemphasisisplacedonthedynamicsvariationofthewindturbinesystemcausedbyplantnonlinearitywithrespecttowindspeed.Theturbinesystemwiththedynamicsvariationisrepresentedbyalinearparameter-varying(LPV)model,whichisderivedbyinterpolatinglinearizedmodelsatvariousoperatingwindspeeds.Toachievecontrolobjectivesofregulatingpowercaptureandminimizingplatformmotions,bothlinearquadraticregulator(LQR)GSandLPVGScontrollerdesigntechniquesareexplored.ThedesignedcontrollersareevaluatedinsimulationswiththeNREL5MWwindturbinemodel,andcomparedwiththebaselineproportional-integral(PI)GScontrollerandnon-GScontrollers.ThesimulationresultsdemonstratetheperformancesuperiorityofLQRGSandLPVGScontrollers,aswellastheperformancetrade-offbetweenpowerregulationandplatformmovementreduction.
